Ukrainian refugees in Austria will soon be able to receive new financial assistance

The Austrian authorities promise to pay certain categories of Ukrainian refugees a one-time financial aid. This decision was made due to the increase in the cost of living.

The Visit Ukraine resource informs Ukrainians about new payments.

How much money will be given

The new aid is promised to be paid from October 2022.

Each adult Ukrainian refugee in Austria will be able to receive 500 euros, and a child – 250 euros.

Adults will receive 500 euros, of which 250 euros will be a climate bonus, and another 250 euros will be a crisis bonus. The Austrian authorities took such a step because of inflation, which affected the whole of Europe.

An important condition

Only those Ukrainians who live in Austria for at least 6 months in 2022 are entitled to assistance.
